About Women in VC
Women in VC is a grassroots organization that gives self-identified female venture capitalists across Canada the opportunity to share best practices, network, and support each others' career development. What began as a bi-monthly dinner series between 5 women, has grown to a community with 100+ active members.
Our vision is to unify the Canadian venture capital community, equip the next generation of leaders, cultivate confidence, and enable women to see themselves in a spectrum of diverse leadership for generations to come.
Women in VC: Professional Bootcamp is a free bi-annual program available to Women in VC community members over a 9-week period.
The Professional Bootcamp series aims to equip and advance the development of technical, personal and industry-specific skills for those in the early stages of their venture career.
The private Women in VC Slack group provides community members the opportunity to network, share best practices and stay up-to-date on relevant industry issues. All community members are encouraged to contribute and join the conversation!
To maintain the tight-knit community that was formed with the inception of Women in VC, the group hosts in-person bi-monthly events throughout the year. In light of COVID-19, this has been temporarily moved online for public health and safety reasons.
Check the Community Events channel in Slack for the latest news and updates.
Looking to share deal flow, build a syndicate or enhance your professional network? The Women in VC Directory is a great starting place to catalyze these conversations.
NOTE: The Women in VC Directory is only accessible to current community members via password access. As a community member the password will be made available in Slack or provided by request from the Women in VC Organizing Committee.
